The Democratic Party of Virginia has a new logo.  The 19th century donkey is gone (with all due respects to Thomas Nast) in favor of a 21st vision of our Party.

The PG Dems have three exciting meetings between now and Election Day on November 3.

On August 6, the Prince George County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Jay “C” Paul (I) will speak to the PG Dems.

On September 3 we will be planning for our District 1 Board of Supervisors Candidates Town Hall and for Election Day Assignments.

October 1 the PG Dems will meet at the Disputanta Community Center hosting a Town Hall for District 1 BOS Democratic Candidates Renee Taylor Garnett and Floyd M. Brown, Jr.  The Town Hall will be from 6 to 8 p.m., and there will be light refreshments.  This is a chance for District 1 citizens to raise their issues and to hear from the democratic candidates wishing to represent their candidates on the Board of Supervisors.

The Democratic Party of Virginia’s upcoming Steering and Central Committee Meetings will be on September 11 & 12 in Williamsburg and on December 4 & 5 in Richmond. Facilities to be announced.

In case you missed it … Governor McAuliffe has called for Special Session of the General Assembly to address congressional district redistricting.  See this Richmond Times Dispatch article via The Lawyer’s Weekly.
