The Virginia 16th Senate District includes parts of Richmond and Chesterfield, all of Hopewell, and Petersburg and parts of Dinwiddie  and Prince George.

On August 9th Prince George Voters who reside in the 16th Virginia Senate District, who are registered voters will vote in one  of the two voting places designated in Prince George for this special process.  The Prince George Precincts in the Virginia 16th Senate District are Jefferson Park, Courts, Rives, and Union Branch.

One polling place will be the Prince George County Circuit Courthouse at 6601 Courts Drive in the county government complex.  The Prince George Dems are working on securing one more voting location and should have that precinct confirmed by Monday, July 28th.

These eligible voters must sign a pledge that they will vote for non other than the Democratic Nominee in the November Special Election.  One need not be a resident in the voting precinct designated by the Prince George Democratic Committee for the Nomination Caucus.

This is a very fast moving process.  The Democratic Nominee will be elected on August 9, certified on August 15, and the special election will be on November 4, 2014, the date of the regular Election Day.

More information will be provided as soon as possible.

Please review the Call to Caucus and the Rules of the Caucus below.  Make copies, take to your churches, civic groups, and neighborhood associations.  This is so terribly important for Prince George.
